Job Title: Director of Asset Management

About the Company:
A multigenerational real estate family office based in Tucson, AZ with a diverse portfolio of retail, hospitality, office and land holdings in through Arizona and Alaska. Total portfolio is well in excess of 1m sqft and several hundred million in value. Role will lead the functions of the office on a day-to-day basis and report directly to the primary owner / decision maker.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Director of Asset Management to oversee our diverse portfolio of retail properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong finance and accounting background, a proven track record in asset management, and specific expertise in retail real estate, development, and land deals. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute asset management strategies to maximize the value and performance of our retail real estate portfolio.
- Negotiate retail leases and renewals, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with brokers and other industry professionals to identify and evaluate new acquisition opportunities.
- Oversee all property maintenance and construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets for each property, monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with tenants, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis to the CEO on portfolio performance and key metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field from a reputable institution.
- 5-10 years of progressive experience in asset management, with a focus on retail real estate.
- Proven experience in negotiating leases, managing budgets, and overseeing construction projects.
- Strong understanding of real estate finance, accounting principles, and investment analysis.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
